Aphrodite Lacquer - The True Love and Heartbreak Collection

Hello Everyone!!  I excited to review two beauties for you today from the Aphrodite Lacquers!!  They are from the True Love and Heartbreak Collection!  You can view the entire collection on Facebook - the true love colors (glitter toppers) and the broken heart colors (jellies).  What awesome combos!!

First up, we have Broken Heart.

 

For Broken Heart, I used 1 coat and KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  This is a little thicker, but one coat?! I love it.  It still looks deep too.

Such a pretty mix!  I love the iridescent purple/blue glitters too!

And this is True Love Forever.

I started with two coats of Cult Nails Kiss My Rose Bush and 1 coat of True Love Forever, and topped with Clearly on Top by KBShimmer.

I love the dusting of shimmery glitter through the base, along with the mix of reds, pinks, and light pinks!  And the circle glitters are gorgeous with the squares and hexes.

Aphrodite Lacquers - Romes & Jules Collection

Hi Everyone!  Sorry for no post yesterday!  It just got too late, but the Blackhawks won at the game we went to on Tuesday!!! Yay!  And they won last night too!  They are definitely on a roll and doing great this season!!!

Today I have four beauties from the Aphrodite Lacquers - Romes and Jules collection!  They are stunning, and as always, they apply perfectly, just like butter!  Rebecca, the owner, always does a fantastic job, not only with her color combinations, but by creating a formula that is just awesome. You can view the entire collection on Facebook - ROMES AND JULES Collection.   You can also see my previous post of Violent Delights - HERE!

First up, we have Wherefore Art Thou.

Circle glitters will never get old for me.  They just look awesome.

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Wherefore Art Thou with Wicked Fast top coat. I mentioned above about the formula, but I love that I barely need any clean up using Aphrodite Lacquers!

One coat should be sheer enough to layer of another color for different look!  I really like how it looks at two though!  Also, as you can see in the bottle below, some of the glitters are holographic!

Next we have Inauspicious Stars.

This is like the pastel version of Violent Delights in my opinion!  I love both!

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Inauspicious Stars and topped with Wicked Fast. 

The tiny glitters are holographic, but hard to capture in my light box.  I love how they sparkle!  And the white glitters are so beautifully subtle in the creamy/jelly white base!  Little pops of color of light purple, light pink, and light blue, give this polish the extra little something!

Next, Capulets!

Oh how I love the bold colors in this!!  The green, purple, blue, and fuchsia pop against the white base!  And the fuchsia circle glitters are so pretty!

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Capulets along with Wicked Fast top coat.

Last but not least, Misadventure.

These are all such cute names.  This polish...I don't even know what to say.  It's stunning! But so much more than that.  The tiny little glitters in the bottle shot below are holographic (again not photographing well).  More circle glitters and a deep blue base that suspends the glitters and while wearing this, it almost glowed in certain light!

For this mani, I used 3 coats of Misadventure and topped with KBShimmer Clearly On Top to make sure my finish was extra smooth!  I actually could have easily gotten away with two coats to be opaque, but I got greedy for an extra layer of glitter!!!! hehe  So gorgeous right?

I love the white squares in this.  They are in medium and small sizes, but they just look so pretty next to the perfect teal/blue circles!  And I know hex glitter isn't as exciting anymore, but the shade of blue is so pretty against the deep blue!  And by deep, I mean the color and the depth that the jelly gives!

Aren't these beautiful!? Such a great collection!!  I think all of these shown today would be fantastic layered. Aphrodite Lacquers - Violent Delights

 

Hello!! Today I have a very gorgeous polish from Aphrodite Lacquer called Violent Delights!  This is from the ROMES AND JULES collection for Valentine's Day.   This is a beautiful collection, but I believe the other colors are currently out of stock (coming back soon).  You can view them on Facebook - ROMES AND JULES Collection. I love the bottle shot below - see all the cute Valentine's Day colors?  Yet, I can totally see myself wearing this year round!  It is fantastic.

 

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Violent Delights and topped with Seche Vite.  It's milky and beautiful to let the white glitters subtly show.  The little pops of color are perfection to add that little extra to make this special.

 

You can see the holo in the bottle.  It was extremely hard to catch on the nails in photos, but is more noticeable in person.

Rebecca, the owner, describes VIOLENT DELIGHTS: white jelly polish, packed with white glitters of various sizes and all the different pink and purple glitters from this collection, and holo microglitters scattered throughout.

 

In the mix of glitters, are ROUND glitters...and they have captured my heart! (see pink on the pinky!?!)

I decided to try layering this as well!  So I started with 2 coats of OPI Mod About You.  I have been grabbing for this a lot lately.  Is it possible that I just gravitate towards upcoming seasonal colors?  I don't know...but I'm so drawn to this color right now!!! haha

 

 

 

I then applied 1 coat of Violent Delights and topped with Seche Vite.  The milky base mutes the pink slightly, but gives a completely different look to the polish!  I love how pronounced the glitters are now!

 

 

The colors pop a little more and you can see some of the different types of glitter better - including - ROUND glitters!!!

 

 

 

ROUND GLITTER! hahaha I have no idea why that excites me so much!! They just look so cool!
