Random Swatches & Combos!

Hello All!!! So I paint my nails daily, and sometimes feel like pictures aren't "worthy" of the blog.  It can range from tipwear, just not liking how I applied the particular color/colors, or even just that the weather didn't cooperate and I didn't get very good pictures of it.  I decided today that I'd show you a few of my randoms because even though they may not be *perfect*, I overall like the colors and combinations I used.  Hopefully this will be just a fun post for you guys to see some of my daily manis.  Most of what I wear, I post though :-)  I love sharing with you all!!

Ok, so first up, I used 2 coats of Zoya Snooki with 1 coat of Models Own Ibiza Mix.  I loved this minus my tipwear, lol.

Next up, I believe I used 3 coats of Hare Polish Twilight Savings with 1 coat of Seche Vite.  Since this is an oldie, I can't remember exactly.  I remember though that since it's a jelly, I did more that I thought I'd need to go get coverage.  I think this will be great for layering too!  I do hope to do a review on this one at some point :-D

Next up - Ozotic 531!  Now this is being discontinued and I'm not 100% sure if you can still find it.  I believe this is 2 coats with Wicked Fast top coat.  I know it's kind of sheer and at certain angles my tips could be seen.  I know at some point I added a third coat and another coat of top coat to wear for a second day - I don't usually do that, so that shows how much I loved this. Since it's a light color, the tipwear wasn't too bad!  I was so lucky to a snapshot in the sun, I think I wore this last weekend and as you can see in the second pic, the sun was gone within the same stop light! haha  This is a duochrome holographic - amazing right?  Why are they discontinuing these beauties!?

And last but not least, my mani I took off last night.  This was so pretty in person!  I would have taken better pics had we had some sun yesterday!  It has been such bad weather since last weekend!  I just want some sun to swatch!! lol  For this mani, I started with 1 coat of OPI Dating a Royal (such a favorite of mine - a blue jelly that is just awesome!) Now, 1 coat is a tad streaky, but I knew I'd cover it with glitter.  Next up is 1 coat of Lynnderella Forget You Not.

This was pretty by itself, but I regretted not doing 2 coats of Dating a Royal.  So instead, I improvised with OPI Don't Touch My Tutu, a white jelly over top to make a jelly sandwich.  I loved this look!  You can kind of still see the purple shimmers in Forget You Not, they were more noticeable in person!  I really love that color!  I think this is my first time trying it!  The worst thing about being a hoarder, I mean collector, is that I have SO many untrieds.  It is quite sad really.  If I ONLY had like 10 hands...I would be a lot more proficient in getting work and house chores done, plus be able to support multiple manis! hahaha ;-)

I had fun, hopefully you liked this too, since it's a tad different that I normally do.  If there is a particular polish you would like details on, please let me know in the comments or send me an email! ;-) I was going to list links, but since this is just a fun post of swatches and not a review, I figured to just keep it short and sweet.  Also, if you have a specific polish in here that you want to see a full review on, I can do that too.  Just let me know!

I hope you all have a great day!!  My girlie, Jessica, is coming over!  I still get hits on her nails that I blogged about as one of my first entries!!  Her pic went viral on Pinterest, so maybe I will con her into being my hand model again...

Much Love,
Crystal

Ozotic 533

I had a request to swatch this, and the pictures were too pretty not to sure on the blog!!  Just a quick post, this is Ozotic 533.  It is a holographic with duochrome - crazy right!?  So it shifts from a blue, to purple, to a mauve/gold color depending on the light and angle.

I bought this through Llarowe HERE for $17.50.  She does have it in stock!  You can also buy from Harlow & Co. HERE for $17.00 but she is currently out of stock.

The polish is thin, but that means it is great to layer!! ;-)  I used 4 coats for these pics because I wanted to show the true bottle color.  And these pictures have no top coat!  The thumb I did a layering, you'll see when you get there!  Enjoy the pics!

Over the thumb, I did two coats of 533 over a dark grey (Daring Digits Girl's Night Out).

Ok, Ok - enough drooling!  Now go to bed, because tomorrow is FRIDAY!!! ;-)  See you all at 8:00 a.m. with another post.

Much Love,

Julep Emilie and Ozotic 528

First, I have to mention how great all of your support has been.  I sincerely hope that you're enjoying what I post.  If you ever have suggestions or requests, you can always let me know!  Also, feel free to ask questions or e-mail me at CrystalsCrazyCombos@gmail.com.  If you notice you're not listed on my blog roll list, please let me know that too and I will update it.  I try to read a lot of blogs daily, but it gets hard to not only keep up my social media as well as read everyone's blog and post a comment.  I knew having a blog wouldn't be easy, and I want to be involved in this community, so hopefully as time goes on, I will be able to do more with ease.  Again, thank you for the support, as it means so very much to me!

Today I have for you Julep Emilie paired with Ozotic 528. I was going through all my old photos on my phone (before my blog) and wanted to share this with you as I felt like this was a great combination!   Julep is a company that offers a program for $20 a month to receive a package full of products (mainly nail polish) at no less than a $40 value.  I love the idea, as who doesn't love to get nail mail?!  However, a few things of the company have turned me off.

If you are unaware of these instances I'm referring to, please feel free to Google more information on Julep, as I prefer not to go into detail here.  I just want to warn anyone interested in this type of program to make sure you have all of the facts first.  I haven't purchased a box the last few months, but still am receiving their e-mails.  I think I am waiting for something to really wow me.  I do also have to say, that their bottles are smaller than most (8ml), with a retail value of $14.  I think they are great polishes, but the value to me doesn't seem worth it.  It is just my personal opinion, but for $14, I would rather pay an extra $1 and put that towards a Lynnderella or some other Frankened polish out there.  I wanted to like the company, but as I referred to earlier, I feel as though Julep morally has a few strikes against them.

Now that I have that off my chest, lets go onto the combo!  Now this Ozotic is extremely special to me because it is from the wonderful Katie at Harlow & Co.  She held a Facebook giveaway and I won!  I was seriously so shocked!  And what a beautiful gift!  I received this as well as piCture pOlish Denim.  She threw in a yummy chap stick too!  I highly recommend purchasing through her!  Her shipping is quick and she is very nice!  She just recently started carrying the franken polishes, NerdLacquer, found HERE.  These started on Etsy created by Amanda.  I know NerdLacquer is selling out extremely fast though, but if you google swatches, you'll see why.  If only I had endless amounts of money...I would own them all!

Ozotic 528 is simply stunning.  It is unlike any glitter I have ever seen.  It is made up of glitter pieces in blue, teal, and purple.  But then the amazing part is that they shift colors too!  So you end up seeing bits of gold, red, and green too.  It is SO fun!  Since it was a while ago, I do believe I used 2 coats of Emilie and 1 coat of 528.

I think these two make a lovely pair!  I haven't played with Ozotic 528 in quite a while, so I will have to try it with different bases to see if I can find any other fun combos!

Have a great day!

Much Love,
Crystal
