Frankenstine Polish - I Invented Post Its

Post Its - again?  Yes, you guys know I love them, and that is why I am excited to sneak them into today's post.  But it makes sense, I promise.  Also, who doesn't love matching nails to their office supplies? hehe

Here is Nubar Lemon Sherbet with 3 coats topped with Seche Vite.  As much as I wanted to get away with 2 coats, I just couldn't because it was a tad streaky.  If I had maybe done a thicker first coat or just taken more time, maybe, just maybe, I could have gotten it to two coats.  I do love the outcome though.  Um, hello!!?  It matches the Post Its perfectly!!!! hahaha

Now, here is the reason why there are these Post It shots everywhere, I layered 1 coat of Frankenstine Polish - I Invented Post Its over Nubar Lemon Sherbet, topped with Seche Vite.  I Invented Post Its was created for the movie: Romy and Michele's High School Reunion.

Here is a quick scene from the movie from YouTube of where the name of this polish came from :-)

So now that we have all that background, on the movie, how about a look at the polish!?!  I just LOVE this combination!!!

You can order this beauty by e-mailing Christine, the owner, at Frankenstinepolishes@earthlink.net and check out her Facebook page for swatches!  She is also on Instagram as @christineambrosia and has swatches there as well!!  She has some beautiful polishes and I will have 2 more to show you next week!

I Invented Post Its has pink and blue glitters with holographic bar glitters and mixed in a gorgeous shimmering base that has micro glitters of blue and pink!  It is SO beautiful.  And over this yellow, is another favorite combo of mine now!  I couldn't stop staring at my nails!  It made the yellow creme look so boring without it!

The shimmer was so hard to capture - you must believe me that it is better in person!

I took a few indoor lighting pictures too, hoping to capture it.  Luckily above you can see the bottle and how yummy that shimmer is!! ;-)  Inside I noticed a couple of the bar glitters glowing in the photos which looked cool!

And finally, hello you beautiful macro...thank you for showing your irresistible shimmer!!!! Plus you can kind of see the holographic bar glitters too! YUMMM!!!

Well, I wish I did invent Post Its.  I will just have to continue to use them and match my polish to them :-D  I hope you enjoyed this look at Frankenstine Polish too!  This was my first time using this brand and I really liked the application!  The glitters went on great and the mix was beautiful!

I hope you all enjoy the day!!

Much Love,
Crystal

Wonder Beauty Products - Hippie Fest & Patina

Hello!! Today I have 2 gorgeous Wonder Beauty Products polishes!!  If you love shards and glitter, this post is for you!! :-)  If you don't, I think you should still take a look and give them a try because they are SO cool!!!
Jen, the owner, has a shop on Etsy, Wonder Beauty Products. Polishes range from $10-12, and are sold in palettes (jars) or bottles. Head over to her Blog and Facebook, where you can see upcoming colors and get updates from her! She also sometimes does giveaways and has one going on right now!!  ENTER HERE by September 7 at 11:59 PM PDT!
First up we have Hippie Fest.  You can find the jar of it, HERE for $12 or the bottle, HERE for $10.  Her pictures show it differently that what my bottle looks like, but I do love how it the blue and light blues together with the silver!!  I think the Jar may be what is displayed in her pictures, but the bottles are what I am showing you today.  Either way, both options are stunning!  I plan to play around with this to find some other layering combinations.  For this mani, I used 1 coat of Color Club What a Drag with 1 coat of Hippie Fest and topped with Seche Vite.  Unfortunately, this base somewhat hides the beauty of the silver glitter in Hippie Fest, so next time I'll try a darker color and probably a creme.  Even still, I do love how the blues stand out against the silver foil!
For my next combo, I used a base of OPI Stranger Tides.  Boy do I love this creme.  This is actually 3 coats topped with Seche Vite.  I wore it all day with 2 coats which is opaque, but added a third to sort of "clean it up" for pictures.  I apply this with a light hand and pretty well covered brush because it does cause a bit of streaking that sort of evens out without a lot of extra stroking on the nail.  Any bit of work to get this on is worth it, this is such a pretty neutral color!  Plus to me it is quite unique, which is why I like it!
I really wish I would have done a tape mani!  I was afraid that a tape mani wouldn't get enough shredded goodness over the nails, lol.  So I chickened out and just layered 1 coat of Patina over Stranger Tides and topped with Seche Vite.  Next time I will try a tape mani!
Patina is coming out soon from Wonder Beauty Products on Etsy.  I believe it will be a Fall release, as it is absolutely perfect for Fall!!!  It has a brownish base, as you can see it slightly changed the hue of the Stranger Tides.  I love the orange and teals together!  This polish is so beautiful!  There are shards, hexagons, and mircoglitter mixed through!  As you will see in some pictures, the smaller glitters almost remind me of sands glistening!
The shade really shows the microglitter off!! I am pleased at how this combination turned out!

I hope you enjoyed this look at two beauties from Wonder Beauty Products!! I just LOVE the shards and how they reflect the light!  I have plans for these two to try other layering combinations!  Stay tuned for a future post!
Hope you have a great day!
Much Love,
Crystal

Happy 4th of July!!!

Hey Everyone!!  Happy 4th of July!!! :-)  Here is my Patriotic Mani!!!  I love how it turned out!  I wish I could have had straighter lines though (using tape), but the sun was about to set on me!! hehe ;-)  So it was done free hand instead!  I decided to take step by step photos for you!  I haven't done anything really like this before, so be gentle with me! :-)

First I did 2 coats of Orly Au Champagne, which I bought from Sally's Beauty Supply.  This is a gorgeous, slightly off white, satin matte polish.  This is probably one of my favorite whites!  I love the sheen to it and how it looks great matte or shiny!  (please excuse my pinky :-(  I bumped it and since racing against the sun, I left it since it'd be covered anyway!)

So next up is Cult Nails Tied Up!  This is SUCH a glossy, beautiful blue!  I did one brush stroke, with no top coat - see, gorgeous right?  It's kind of a jelly like base, where you can see the lighting effects the way it looks.

You can purchase Cult Nails at http://shop.cultnails.com/ and stay up to date with info through Facebook!

Next up is Zoya Sooki!  Again, I used one brush stroke to cover the other side of the nail.  I like that doesn't have any orange to it, as it's more on the pink side, but overall, a very true red.

You can purchase Sooki from https://www.artofbeauty.com/rd/0127947B - This is a Share the Love link, which is a way for me to earn points through them! So cool for me, but you guys can get something too! See what Zoya wrote: Remember EVERYONE WINS with "Share the Love": When someone clicks on your personal link and sets up an online account, a $5 coupon a coupon for a FREE Bottle of Zoya Nail Polish will automatically be placed in their account and can be used immediately on their current order. TIP: If you use this coupon and add 2 more polishes to your order, you get free shipping too! The coupon will appear in the "My Coupons/ Promos" section of their "My Account" Page.

And last, I wanted to add some SPARKLE!  I used Pride from Nostalgic nail lacquer.  This was a part of the limited edition 7 Deadly Sins of Summer collection (based on the 7 deadly sins).  I actually refreshed quite a bit to get this beauty!!  I was very lucky!  Since this was limited edition, it is no longer available, but she does have many other amazing colors in her shop!  You can find Erin's shop at http://nostalgicnaillacquer.com/.  She is out of stock currently, and did recently start a wish list system.  You can visit her blog, http://thesugarcubeblog.blogspot.com/, for updates and more information!
Erin describes this gorgeous glitter on her site: "Pride is a patriotic mixture of red, white and blue glitters in various shapes and sizes, topped off with a hearty dose of star shaped glitter!"

I felt like this mani could be retro and decided to play around with the settings for color! I absolutely love the vintage feel to this photo!

Well I hope all you US friends are enjoying the Holiday!  And to all others, hope you enjoyed a little fun for a Patriotic mani!!  Have a great day!

Much Love,
Crystal
