Essie - Penny Talk and CrowsToes - Bunny Slope

Hello Everyone!!  I have another pair to show you today!!

First up is Essie Penny Talk.  I received this from Klout.  Klout is a social media tracking site.  The site measures your influences and gives you a number.  They recently must have changed their site around, because now I'm even more confused, lol.  I notice I fluctuate in my number, but I don't think they take into account my Facebook page or Instagram.  While looking at it right now, I only see Twitter stats.  Hopefully they will continue to modify it to work better.  Through Klout, they offer perks based on your influence number.  I was lucky enough to receive an Essie Mirror Metallic polish.  I was given the Penny Talk.  So there are some benefits to using the site.  I've received a few other perks before, and they have been great!

Disclosure - I have been given a Klout Perk

I was given a free product or sample because I'm a Klout influencer. I was under no obligation to receive the sample or talk about this company. I get no additional benefits for talking about the product or company.

Next I applied 1 coat of CrowsToes Bunny Slope with Seche Vite.  This polish does eat the top coat, so if you like extremely glossy, you will want to use Seche Vite, maybe even 2 coats.  I only did 1 and thought it was ok, but it still had slight texture.

You can find information at The Polished Crow blog. From what I've read, there are two places to buy from, Llarowe and Overall Beauty. I believe prices range from $12-14 between the two stores. Since I was ordering from Llarowe anyway, this and Triple Black Diamond were too pretty to resist!

The glitters in Bunny Slope are very hard to photograph.  They are holographic, but look black because of the way the light reflects when photographing.  I think this bottle picture is pretty good though to show how sparkly it really is!

I hope you enjoyed this look!  It kind of reminds me of bridal, very classy looking, yet has that fun white glitter and sparkle!  Does it maybe even look like lacey?  Hmmm either way, I was surprised at how much I liked these two together!  Definitely picked these both randomly and they ended up working well together! ;-)

Have a wonderful day!!

Much Love,
Crystal

*As mentioned above, Essie Penny Talk was sent to me by Klout.  All thoughts and opinions on this are that of my own.*

CrowsToes - Triple Black Diamond

Today I have an Indie brand that I pretty much know nothing about.  LOL  Ok, let me explain.  Normally I see a polish that interests me through an Etsy or something.  Lately I've had to calm my spending down, so I really take time to think - "Do I need this polish?  Do I have anything like it?  What could I pair this with?  Is this the polish I need the most?"  And over analyze it like crazy until eventually if I cannot stop thinking about it, I buy it.  If only I could just win the lottery and BUY ALL THE POLISH!  I would be set!  ;-)

Anyway, I like to dig around and find out about the sellers and get to know the brand.  That is completely untrue for today's polish.  I actually had to search around before I wrote this post to get a little more info about the brand, CrowsToes!  I came across this line through Leah Ann of Llarowe.  She recently picked this up and I there was no way I could hesitate for this!!  Triple Black Diamond is amazing.  I personally fell even more in love when I saw swatches by The Swatchaholic (check it out, you won't regret it).  Nope, definitely no regrets here.

I found the blog of the owner, I believe her name is Lauri (please correct me if I'm wrong!!).  You can find information at http://thepolishedcrow.blogspot.com/.  From what I've read, there are two places to buy from, Llarowe and Overall Beauty.  I believe prices range from $12-14 between the two stores.  Since I was ordering from Leah Ann anyway, this and Bunny Slope happened to hop in my cart...whoopsie :-D

For my base, I used 1 coat of Zoya Tallulah.  That is a Share the Love link, which is a way for me to earn points through them! So cool for me, but you guys can get something too! See what Zoya wrote: Remember EVERYONE WINS with "Share the Love": When someone clicks on your personal link and sets up an online account, a $5 coupon a coupon for a FREE Bottle of Zoya Nail Polish will automatically be placed in their account and can be used immediately on their current order. TIP: If you use this coupon and add 2 more polishes to your order, you get free shipping too! The coupon will appear in the "My Coupons/ Promos" section of their "My Account" Page.

Tallulah is a gorgeous bright blue shimmer polish.  It is very opaque in 1 coat.  Then I applied 1 coat of Triple Black Diamond by CrowsToes.  In order to keep from having shrinkage, I placed 1 coat of OPI top coat with 1 coat of Seche Vite after.  Seche Vite dries quickly, and when it does, it pulls back on my tips sometimes.  I find if I wrap my tips with a non-quick drying polish, it prevents that tipwear from Seche Vite.  I picked that tip up a while ago from someone, but wish I could remember who!  It works so well!  I was able to wear this all day and my tips still were in good shape even with typing all day!  I did have to use another coat of SV though, as it was just a tad textured.  I love the glossy look ;-)

Now that I've rambled on...and on...you can skip ahead to the pictures.  Enjoy!!!!! ;-)

I love the glitters in this!  There are black, but also a purple and teal along with holographic little pieces.  It is such an interesting combination!  I think it will be fun to layer over lots of colors!

So there you go!  A new brand to me, what about for you?  Have you heard of this?  There are some other gorgeous glitter combinations too!  I will have to go through the whole process though, even though we both know they'll somehow magically end up at my front door, right?  You can't blame a polish addict for being blinded by the glitter... haha!

Have a wonderful, glitter filled day!

Much Love,
Crystal
