XOXO Nails!

 

Hello Everyone!! Sorry no post yesterday!  Mr. CC and I had to do our taxes!  WOOOHOO so glad that's able to be checked off the list ;-)

 

So it's been a couple days, but are we all loving Justin Timberlake's new album??  I am!!! So what is your favorite song?  Mirrors is like on constant repeat for me!  Mr. CC says Suit & Tie is still his favorite! lol  I love that I make him listen to it!!

 

So today on the blog, we have XOXO Nails!!!  Elektra, the owner, is such a sweetheart! We met through Instagram. Not only does she create gorgeous polishes, she is great at manicures too! First up, we have He's Just Not Into U.

 

For this mani, I used 3 coats with Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat.

Oh my goodness!  This is such a gorgeous mix!! The teal glitters look almost as if they are floating on the nude base!  It has an elegant look to, which I love!

Next, we have Chicky On The Side.

For this mani, I used 3 coats along with Wicked Fast top coat.

This is a creamy pale yellow with red and yellow glitters in it!

Next, we have Sweet On Me.

For this mani, I used 3 coats of Sweet On Me with Wicked Fast top coat.

I love this white base with the light yellow, pink, and darker pink glitters!

And last but not least, we have Birthday Suit!  I love this name, lol!

For Birthday Suit, I used 2 coats along with Wicked Fast top coat.

I love bold matte glitters in light bases!  This is a nude base with red, purple, green, and blue glitters!

XOXO Nails - Black Magic gets Scandalous with Cult Nails!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!! How are you!?  WELCOME to all my new friends here!! I couldn't be more excited to share with you and appreciate your support!!  I am pretty excited to have reached over 600 people!  I am so thankful to continue to grow in this community!  And if you haven't heard, I do have a giveaway going on, so please go check it out - Sephora - It's Real.

Today I have a gorgeous polish to show you, called Black Magic.  It can be applied to pretty much any color for instant nail art! LOVE it!  So I decided to use Scandalous by Cult Nails as my base!  It's a coral color, kind of pink/orange.  You can see my previous review of it HERE.  For this mani, I was able to get away with 2 thick coats for a base.  I then applied 1 coat of Black Magic by XOXO Nails, finishing with Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat.

 

 

Black Magic is black glitter in a clear base with lots of different sizes and shapes, including square, hexagon, and bar glitters.  It is simple, yet it dresses up any mani instantly!  Such a versatile glitter.

So since Scandalous is a jelly, I decided to layer a coat of that over top!!  I love how it turned out!!!  And since Scandalous is very glossy, I didn't need to add a top coat (unless you want quick drying or to prolong the mani!).

 

 

 

 

Even though the jelly sandwich somewhat mutes the black glitter, it still gives an awesome effect in my opinion!

And here is a mani I wore to a wedding at the beginning of the month.  I didn't have time to take better pictures, but still wanted to share this beautiful combo of Black Magic over 2 coats of Tulum.  You can see my previous post HERE.

 

 

 

I liked it because it was kind of opposite of my dress! lol  And it's fun because people always think I spend a lot of times, but I threw this on while my friend, Dolly, curled my hair!! Talk about multi-tasking ;-)

Hello Everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend!! I was able to catch up with friends at a wedding and had a great time! And I'm almost over my cold completely, so I'm very glad for that :-D  Also, welcome to all the new friends!! I see more have found me over the weekend - Hello and thank you for stopping by!!

Today I have another polish by XOXO Nails!!  This is Candy Girl with 4 coats and topped with Seche Vite. As I've mentioned, I met Elektra, the owner, through Instagram. Candy Girl is a gorgeous white base with multiple sized glitters in red, blue, yellow, light purple, and white.  It even has some tiny little green glitters in it!  It can be applied with less coats for a sheer look, built up with four coats to be opaque, or layered over a white polish (or any other color you might enjoy!).  Please excuse the sun making this look a little pink based - as it is white as you see in the shade.

Here is a nice close up to show all the glitters.  I love this combination!!  And I love the multiple layers of it to give it such a nice deep look where you can see all the different levels of glitter!!

XOXO Nails - Spring Fling

Hi All!!! Still sick here.  In fact, how is it even possible I'm worse!?  So I apologize, but today will be short and sweet, but don't worry - lots of pics for you guys!

For my bases, I picked 2 of my favorite "Spring" polishes.  I know we're not really there yet, but if I had my way, we'd skip Winter! ;-) lol  These two I've used to create a diagonal combo before and I love that look.  Instead, I wanted to just use the accent nail look.  I used China Glaze Tantalize Me and Zoya Gemma.  Both colors are at 2 coats.  Both have a gorgeous duochrome shimmer running through the polish.  In my opinion, they just go!  And for this mani, I thought they'd be perfect.

I then applied 1 coat of Spring Fling by XOXO Nails and finished with Seche Vite.  Elektra, the owner, is such a sweetheart! We met through Instagram. Spring Fling is a clear base with pretty pastel glitters of pink, green and yellow.  I especially love the pink squares in this!  I may be a little early seasonally, but I am in love with this look!
