Black Luna Nail Lacquer!

Hello Everyone!!  I'm so happy we got our power back yesterday after the storm on Monday!  It was a quick storm, but it effected a lot of towns!  Many didn't have power like us, and I'm just thankful we were only out of power for a day! Sometimes bad storms put us out a lot longer!  After driving yesterday, I saw a lot of trees uprooted!  It is quite scary!  Below is a couple blocks away.  I just ask that you keep those with damage in your thoughts and prayers!  I'm feeling very fortunate to not have had any devastation from the storm!  

Isn't it amazing what nature can do with a quick little burst of wind?  On a lighter note, I'm so excited to share some Black Luna Nail Lacquer swatches with you today!  I was sent these for review and it was my first time trying this brand.  I love the colors I was sent and the formula was great for all three!

First up, we have Comet.

For Comet, I used 2 coats along with Wicked Fast by Cult Nails.

What a perfect creation in time for the 4th of July!!  I absolutely love the white squares in this too!  I like that it has a hint of sheerness to see them.

Next up, Bright Lights Holo Top Coat.

I was feeling like an office type mani, with a bit of sparkle.  I started with 2 coats of OPI Barefoot in Barcelona.

I then added 1 coat of Bright Lights.  My light box doesn't play nice with holo :-(

So I used the bedroom lighting.  I'm sorry it makes my skin look crazy, but look at that HOLO!!

I wore this to work for meetings and couldn't stop staring at my nails while typing. hehe

A beautiful holo top coat!  If you don't have one of these, I highly recommend it!  It makes any polish holo by layering it.  Part of the fun is finding new combos!  I really love these two together and will be wearing them again!

Last, but not least, we have Forbidden Fruit.

For Forbidden Fruit, I used 2 coats along with Wicked Fast by Cult Nails.

What a gorgeous neon green!  And the name is too cute.  Again, my light box didn't really play nice with the gorgeous holo glitters in this!

Let's get started, as we have lots of swatches of these beauties!  First up, Pretty Little Peacock.

For Pretty Little Peacock, I used 3 coats along with Clearly on Top by KBShimmer.

Wow.  Just wow!!  I love this beautiful blue jelly-ish base with the green and holo glitters!   You could possibly get away with two coats, but I wanted to have the deep look, so I went with three.

Next, Keep Macawlm & Polish.

For Keep Macawlm & Polish, I used 2 coats along with Clearly on Top.

LOVE how jelly this is!!  And it looks great at two coats and the blue, orange, and green glitters just look like they are floating on the nail.

And how cute is this name too! Love the theme for this collection!

Next, Hungry Panda.

For Hungry Panda, I used 2 coats along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

This white base looks great with the green bar glitters, large black hexes, and the tiny little black hexes sprinkled throughout!

Another fun and fitting name for this, don't you agree!?

Up next, we have Flamingo Berry.

For Flamingo Berry, I used 2 coats along with Clearly on Top.

Such a fun pink base with the blue hexes and pink and red glitters.

Last, but certainly not least, we have Uniicorn!!

For Uniicorn, I used 2 coats along with Clearly on Top by KBShimmer.

This is so so so so fun!!! I love the little pops of the neon pink and green, along with the awesome stars and rainbow glitters!  So pretty!

I can't wait to wear this all summer!

Hello Everyone!!! Time for another week to fly by so it can be the weekend again....haha :-)  I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!  I did some swatching, saw some friends, and spent time with Mr. CC!  And I was able to read a book too.  Love not having to run around on the weekend!

There is another version of this that is called Candy Land ReMix, so I don't confuse anyone!  I absolutely love this version because the base is a nice bright white, and the neon glitter hexes shine through!  The other version is a little different but still beautiful! 
 

 

For this mani, I used 2 coats, making sure to pause between coats as the white base is a little thick (which is great for opaque), but I didn't want to have any problems getting the neon glitters where I wanted.   I finished with Clearly on Top by KBShimmer.  I love how this turned out!! 

 

 

A note from Jindie Nails: "Place your bottles upside down before using and it will help distribute the glitter very well. The dab and place method may have to be used for this polish. I didn't have much of a problem but I know some have. The neon glitters in this are transparent and super thin so they can be pesky but the pay off is WELL worth it!"

 

I held my bottle upsidedown a minute, and had absolutely no issues getting the glitter out!  I know some of the larger hexes can sink, but I was able to snag them to get them on the nail!  I did do a little placing to get everything spread out, but as said above, it's because the glitters are thin and like to stick together some.  I agree though, TOTALLY worth it!

So the sun was setting and I decided to get a few shots outside (yes! we had some sun today!!! Still cold though - blah).  I think it shows the glitters SO well!
