Laquerlicious - Disgruntled Elf and Christmas Morning

Good Morning!!  I have two gorgeous Laquerlicious polishes to show you today!!  And guess what?!  Both are on sale right now!!   Hurry to check them out at Laquerlicious - Etsy.  A few other holiday colors are also for sale for $6.50 also!  You can also shop at Laquerlicious - Big Cartel for other pretties, but the Holiday ones are listed on Etsy only.

First up we have Disgruntled Elf!  I am in love with the name and these gorgeous glitters!

Michelle says:  This polish is in a sheer silver base with red, pink, green, light green and white large to tiny square, hex and slice matte glitter. This is a FUN glitter! It's great for layering!

I used 1 coat of a black creme, and an accent finger of OPI Mod About You with 2 coats.  I then applied 1 coat of Disgruntled Elf and finished with Seche Vite.  Disgruntled Elf is gorgeous!!  The tiny shimmer glitters through the clear base are beautiful and add such a nice sparkle with the other glitters!

You can stay up to date about Laquerlicious by following Michelle on Twitter - @NailChickMich or on Instagram as @CreativeNailChick.

Here is the OPI Mod About You bottle that I used for the accent nail.

A couple close ups!

Next we have Christmas Morning!

Michelle says:  This polish is in a white jelly base with a slight gold shimmer. It's full of red, green, gold, silver and white shredded glitter. It reminds me of the left over shredded Christmas wrapping after opening presents on Christmas Morning!  Limited Edition! Winter White Jelly's Collection! Get all 3!! Christmas Garland, Christmas Morning and Christmas Snowfall. These are an absolute MUST HAVE for the holidays!!

I used 2 coats with Seche Vite top coat.  I don't mind the sheerness, but you could layer this over white or probably any other fun color you can think of!  I bet this would really pop against a black base!

Look at that bottle with all the gorgeous shreds!!  Michelle is right!  It does remind me of all the wrapping paper!

It's nice because Seche Vite keeps the shards feeling smooth!!  When applying, I made sure to brush any that weren't applied flat, but otherwise this went on easily and is smooth to the touch!

Close up!  I love the gold flakes in this!  Mixed with the silver, white, red, and green, this is a stunning mix!

Don't forget to stop by Laquerlicious - Etsy for these Holiday colors! Limited quantities available! When it's gone, it's gone! Michelle won't be making any more.  Also, as I mentioned, you can shop for other regular colors at Laquerlicious - Big Cartel.

Have a great day!!

Much Love,
Crystal

Aphrodite Lacquers - Make a Wish

Hello Everyone!  I'm excited because today is my "Friday" because I took off Friday and with Thanksgiving tomorrow, I will have a nice long weekend!  It will still be a busy one, with dinners, our friend's wedding, and maybe some Christmas shopping?  Anyway, I'm going to see the Breaking Dawn 2 tonight with my Mom & Sister!  Don't tell, but Mr. CC is coming along too :-)  Isn't that cute? hehe

Today I am excited to show you the upcoming Birthday Collection from Aphrodite Lacquer!  Rebecca, the owner, decided to do a Birthday themed collection instead of a Holiday one because her birthday is in December!  Happy Early Birthday, Rebecca!!

Since I am always so "picture happy", I am going to do two posts today!  This post is featuring Make a Wish!  Let me start by saying that I am in love with this formula.  The jelly white base with silver glitters practically floats onto the nail!!!

Here is Make a Wish with two coats.  If you would have told me a year ago that I would be such a fan of sheer polishes, I would have never believed you!  But this is stunning.  For me, white jelly bases camouflage any discoloring of the nails.  I am lucky to have fairly clear nails despite all the polish I wear, but I do notice sometimes that they aren't as white as I'd like.  When I wear polishes like this, I feel like it's simple, yet gives a nice clean look.

I was actually recommended to try Aphrodite Lacquers by The Obsessed, Aire, because she always had swatches that made me drool!  I recently won a contest of hers and was able to try my first one.  I am thrilled to review these because the creations are always so beautiful and now that I've tried the formula, I am hooked!  On The Obsessed, you can see some more beautiful creations of Aphrodite Lacquer HERE!!

The glitters are not overpacked in the polish for more of a delicate feel.  It compliments the white base very well.

For ordering, you can shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/AphroditeLacquers.  I must warn you - there are lots of polishes that are gorgeous, so please don't let your wallets yell at me!   To stay up to date on Aphrodite Lacquer, you can follow by Facebook and Twitter (@AphroditeLacque).

I also really like the subtle shimmer through the base.

Close up!

Now this is 3 coats, and it's really glossy without a top coat, so I didn't need one.  However, I recommend always using a top coat for prolonged wear :-)

I can't decide if I like it at 2 or 3 coats!  Both are beautiful to me, but if you don't like sheer, I'm sure this would look fantastic layered over pretty much anything!  I think with three coats, it's even creamier and just looks so elegant!

And another close up, where you can see some of the gorgeous shimmer!

Make sure to check back!  I am going to post more from Aphrodite at 3:00 p.m. (Central Time)!!

Have a great day!!!

Much Love,
Crystal

XOXO Nails - Coffee Date

Hi Everyone!!  Today I have a gorgeous polish to show you!!  This is Coffee Date by XOXO Nails.  Elektra, the owner, is such a sweetheart!  We met through Instagram and it has been awesome to see her grow!  She had some amazing combinations of polish that she has created!  She also is great at manicures too!  Love her nail art!  Make sure you check her out on Instagram - @xoxo_nails.  She is also on Facebook and Twitter - @xoxo_nails.  Her shop on Etsy, XOXO Nails, has full size bottles for $9.00, but she does have a few sets at discounted prices!  Here is Coffee Date!

Coffee date is a light nude/beige color that is sheer and creamy.  There are brown glitter hexagons, medium and very tiny, that reflect bronze color!  I love the way this polish looks!  I used 3 coats for the pictures, no top coat.

I love her labeling on her bottles too!  And the bottles themselves!  They are so unique!  These are the first I've ever had like this and I like change in shape!

Here is a bottle shot so you can see what I'm talking about for the glitters reflecting!

Oh! And here is the cute packaging!! I LOVE it!!  If you go to Elektra's shop, http://www.etsy.com/shop/XOXONAILS, you will see here theme of the zebra background there too!

I hope you enjoyed this look at XOXO Nails!  This was my first time trying this brand and I'm loving this color!! I have more beauties to review for you, so make sure to be on the look out for them!

Hope you have an awesome day!!

Wonder Beauty Products - Clown Toots

Hello Everyone!! I am so excited for today's post, because it is a new polish not yet released from Wonder Beauty Products!!!!  PLUS it's SCENTED!! :-D  It smells like a carnival, which to me is a light sugary scent!  I would get little hints of it throughout the day, which was like wearing a scented lotion, but on my nails - lol ;-)  It doesn't take much to entertain me.
Keep an eye for this coming soon at Jen's shop on Etsy, Wonder Beauty Products.  Polishes range from $10-12, and are sold in palettes (jars) or bottles.  Also, you can also see upcoming colors and get updates from her Blog and Facebook

This is called Clown Toots.  I used 2 coats with Wicked Fast top coat by Cult Nails, and as you can see, it is sheer.  I love the way it makes my nails look!  I think the slightly tinted base softens the color of the nails and makes them look healthy.  This base color reminds me of the OPI Ballet collection, Care to Danse? color.  I know not everyone likes to go sheer, but this also allows for this to be layered easily!  I will have more of this layered soon!

Here is Jen's description of Clown Toots:
An amusement park in a bottle!
Clown Toots features a fun collaboration of multi-sized pinks and blue glossy and matte glitters with scattered white iridescence in a super sheer pink jelly base. Awesome to wear sheerly alone or over your favorite colors for a perfect carnival effect!

AND... this polish is uniquely scented like a carnival with aromas of cotton candy, popcorn and bubblegum!

And here is a close up shot! I wanted to show you the awesome white hexagon! They were almost iridescent looking (unforunately my camera didn't show it)! But the great part about this polish is that the glitters laid pretty flat! I was glad I didn't have any edges sticking out, which then can sometimes snag! I've noticed that sometimes with large hexagons.  I

This is such a gorgeous sheer glitter!  It applied extremely well, with the glitters flowing onto the nail pretty well into position.  The less strokes I used, the better the application of the glitter.  I love this combination of glitters too!  I really love those red hexagons in there!

I hope you enjoyed this look at a new color from Wonder Beauty Products - Wonder Jen Products!  I will have more previews of her polishes coming soon!!

Much Love,
Crystal
