PJ Polish - Ink Inspired Collection

Hello Everyone!! It's Friday!! Anyone have any exciting plans for the weekend!?!  I'll be swatching and hopefully relaxing. I felt better yesterday, so I'm glad my migraine is finally going away!  Part of why I get them is from caffeine, so I usually stay away but had some towards the end of last week and last weekend.  I don't know why if I have too much it causes almost withdrawal if I don't, but then even if I do continue drinking coffee or anything with caffeine, it seems like having it too much will bring the headaches/migraines too!  Oh well, you'd think I'd learn and leave it alone, but it's just SOOOO good and makes me not so tired all the time! haha

Anyway, sorry for that ramble :-D haha Today I am excited to show you a brand that is new to me and I was given the opportunity to review, PJ Polish!! Today I am going to show you her Ink Inspired Collection!  I also included a few pictures of the tattoo that each polish represents!

You can purchase PJ Polish on Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/PJpolish.  You can stay up to date with PJ Polish on Instagram as @jenlynnsnails and for any questions, Kik as @JennyLDG.

This is going to be a picture heavy post, plus I matted a couple too! YUM!

First up, we have Hannya Mask.

Here is an example of a Hannya Mask tattoo.

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Hannya Mask with Wicked Fast top coat by Cult Nails.

This is a frosty green base with orange, black, and silver glitters!  It has a gorgeous shimmer to it!

Close up!

Next we have Lotus Flower.

An example of a lotus flower tattoo!  So pretty!

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Lotus Flower with Wicked Fast top coat.

This white base is so delicate with the tiny little white glitters in it, along with the green and pink glitter.   I love the slight frost to it too!

Close up!

Next we have Dark Fairy.

A Dark Fairy tattoo!

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Fuggen Ugly by ManGlaze along with 1 coat of Dark Fairy and topped with Wicked Fast.

Love all the glitters in this!  The pink, green, blue, silver, and purple shards!  So beautiful!  And I like the dark grey base with it too!

Close up!

I added a coat of Essie Matte About You!

LOVE how this looks!

Close up!

Next we have Pirate Ship.

An example of a Pirate Ship tattoo.

For this mani, I used 2 coats of OPI A-Taupe The Space Needle with 1 coat of Pirate Ship and topped with Wicked Fast.

The gold is holographic!  I love the blue and brown and red together with the gold!  I put the dark brown base with it to complete the Pirate Ship look!

Close up!  Sorry, my Wicked Fast was at it's end and caused bubbles :-(

I added a coat of Essie Matte About You to this one too!  LOVE it SO much!!

Doesn't it look awesome?

Close up!

Next we have Koi Fish.

Here is an example of a Koi Fish tattoo.

For this mani, I used 3 coats of Koi Fish.  Since the jelly is so so glossy, I didn't do a top coat, but do recommend a top coat for extended wear! ;-)

This beauty has blue circle glitter!!  Along with white and orange glitters in the stunning blue jelly base!

Close up!

For fun, I added another coat (4 coats), again with no top coat.  I do see slight visible nail line, so if that bothers you, I recommend layering!  The first one that came to mind was OPI Dating A Russian because it is a slight jelly too, but the blues are a bit different.  I will have to layer it next time to see how it turns out!!

So deep looking, isn't it!?

Close up!

Last but not least, we have Phoenix!

Here is an example of a Phoenix tattoo.  This tattoo is SO cool looking!  Is it supposed to remind me of the one in Harry Potter?

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Phoenix and no top coat again.  Same as above, a top coat is recommended for increasing the wear of your polish!  However, it's SO glossy because it is a jelly!

It's a red/orange base with gold and blue glitters.  This base is fantastic!! I love how it turned out!!

Close up!  Love that layered glitter!

I hope you enjoyed this post!!  Now I want to get another tattoo after looking at all these online!! haha ;-)  Please check out the shop on Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/PJpolish for today's release of these. You can stay up to date with PJ Polish on Instagram as @jenlynnsnails and for any questions, Kik as @JennyLDG.

Jenny, the owner, let me know that the labels will be changing, so your bottles may look a little different than the ones shown!  She said they weren't stickking as well, so I think it's great that a company takes the time to fix the problem!!  Mine actually have been fine ;-)  Can't wait to see the new look!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Much Love,
Crystal

  1. Beautiful swatches! Looks like she did a good job translating some traditional tattoos into polish form. They make me want to get another one, too! And Koi Fish... Omg. Love.
