Nostalgic As If!

Hello!  Today's post I hesitated showing you guys because it's not really as nice as I wanted it!  I've meant to redo this, but just haven't had the time.  I figured I would post it, because the combination looks great in my opinion!  I just had issues with bubbling :-(  So please ignore my imperfections, but enjoy the mani!  I hope you don't mind!
I took 2 coats of Cult Nails Manipulative, which you can see swatched by itself, HERE.  Then I took 1 coat of Nostalgic As If and finished with Cult Nails Wicked Fast Top Coat.  I'm not sure if it's the top coat that I'm using or what I can do to prevent the bubbling.  It could be something different in Nostalgic's base, and maybe I need to wait longer to apply a top coat.  I've had this a few times, so I will continue to experiment to get the best result!  Nostalgic Lacquers are too awesome to pass by, so I will make them work! ;-) lol

Nostalgic Lacquer is sold at http://nostalgicnaillacquer.com/.  Her site is currently under construction, but you can stay up to date by following her Facebook or Blog.  She recently did a wishlist ordering system, so she is working on finishing that up.  Erin, the owner, sells her polishes for $9.75.

You can find Cult Nails at http://shop.cultnails.com/ for $10 each. Maria, the owner, has a new collection created by her daughter Coco that just came out.  I hope to have that review soon for you!

I hope you enjoyed this mani even though it isn't up to my usual standards :-(  lol  The combination still looks awesome together I think!! I just love the pink in As If!!

I hope you have a great day!

Much Love,
Crystal

Othello Mani

Hi Everyone!! I'm excited for today's post!!! I've had this idea ever since I saw these 4 black & white glitters!!  I am excited to have these beauties!!  I couldn't think of a name for this mani, so I asked Mr. CC his thoughts.  He said this looked like the board game, Othello.  After Googling a picture, I have to agree!  lol!!  I have no idea how to play this, but hey, if it matches my mani, looks like a great game ;-) hahaha
So I decided to go with this bright green by Misa called The Grass is Greener on My Side.  It reminded me of Cult Nails Feelin' Froggy, but after looking at them side by side, Feelin' Froggy is more green while The Grass is more of a teal.  Both are gorgeous of course with their amazing shimmers!
This is 2 coats of The Grass is Greener on My Side, with no top coat since I planned for the glitters.

So my idea was to start with the largest black & white glitter and then get smaller, then go larger again.  On the thumb an pinky is Colorblind by Dandy Nails, which is black and white glitter hexagons.  Next on the pointer and ring finger is Colorblind^2, squared because they are little black and white squares!! Then for the middle finger, 1 coat of Asbestos with 1 coat of Carbon Copy, both by Windestine. Asbestos is white square glitter and Carbon Copy is black hexagon glitter.  All of the black and white gitters are in clear bases.  I topped it all off with Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat.

I love how this turned out!  The possibilities with black and white glitter are endless!  So many different bases you can use, can layer them together, or even fade them the other way of large in the middle with them getting smaller!  I bet all four would be awesome on one nail too!  Black and White glitter overload!! :-D

Here is Asbestos and Carbon Copy by Windestine
Here are the bottle shots!  If you love black and white glitter like I do, you really can't go wrong owning all of these!  You can purchase Windestine on Etsy, http://www.etsy.com/shop/windestine.  And Dandy Nails on Etsy too, http://www.etsy.com/shop/DandyNails.  For updates on Dandy Nails polishes, you can follow the Facebook page.  Both shops are currently closed, but will hopefully restock soon!!

Here are some more pictures, because honestly, I loved this too much not to spam you guys with it!!! ;-)

I hope you enjoyed my Othello mani!  I had no idea when doing choosing that base it would look like the game, but I am just going to go with it!  I am glad to finally show you this idea!!!  And how cool that I have a thumb, right? hehe I like that I could show my whole hand for once! ;-)

I hope you have a great day and a great week!

Much Love,
Crystal

Rainbow Honey - Mare of the Moon

Hello and Happy Friday!! Today I have 2 gorgeous polishes featured!!  Rainbow Honey Mare of the Moon and Finger Paints Grape Gumball!

First up is Finger Paints Grape Gumball.  I received this in a swap from my friend Shannon!! Thank you SO much to her for finding this for me!  You can check out her awesome blog, http://thekrackedkat.blogspot.com/.  This is 2 coats with Wicked Fast top coat by Cult Nails.  Sorry for the tip wear - typing all day doesn't help! ;-)

So to cover up my tipwear and try out my new Rainbow Honey, I added 1 coat of Mare of the Moon and Wicked Fast top coat by Cult Nails!!  I believe that Mare of the Moon would probably look great in 2 coats, but it was easier to layer since I already had on Grape Gumball :-)  Here is the description of it on the website:
Mare of the Moon was inspired by Princess Luna; A deep and mysterious indigo polish with a violet color shift and a sprinkling of silver moon crescents and holographic glitters.

You can purchase this from the Rainbow Honey site for $10 for a 15ml bottle or $5 for a 7ml bottle. The bottles and packaging are so awesome - there is a ton of detail that goes into these polishes!  I received a brochure with my recent order, which described the colors and had awesome pictures!  If you didn't have all the colors from the Equestria Collection, this pamphlet will make you want to ;-)

If you'd like to get more information and updates from Rainbow Honey, you can follow the Facebook page.  Finger Paints are sold at Sally Beauty stores, but I know I don't always find the colors I'm looking for unfortunately!

I hope you all have a great weekend!! I'm hoping we have some nice weather so I can hit the pool :-D

Much Love,
Crystal
