Lush Lacquer - Mr. Bubble

Hi All!! So I know yesterday I did a Lush Lacquer, but I have been eyeing this one too, since I've had them both for such a long time now!  And I was in a hurry last night, since I had dinner with my parents and siblings for an early birthday celebration!  We had DQ ice cream cake...be jealous, lol because it was DELICIOUS!  So I slapped on a coat of black and topped it with 1 coat of Mr. Bubble and a coat of Seche Vite, and BAM!  A totally awesome look in like 5 minutes!  So please excuse my poor clean up, I was literally running outside to snap the pics and then to the car to go! haha :-)

So I love the look of matte glitter and I am certainly not the only one!  Here is Lush Lacquers description of this polish:
Mr. Bubble is a strikingly beautiful clear sheer base with a mixture of glitter...all different sizes of matte pink , matte blue and matte white glitters are used to make this gorgeous polish. We use fine, medium and a few larger hexagonal matte glitter. We don't use any bar glitters in this combination. The colors in this polish look beautiful together and is absolutely stunning on. It's bright and very fun but it does not have a shiny finish until you put the top coat on ...it definitely attracts attention because it is bold! It looks great over other colors (see the swatches up above - on listing) or alone with 2 to 3 coats of polish. This polish has a smooth finish after applying 2 coats of a top coat or gelous. It can be worn shiny by applying a top coat or non-shiny without a topcoat...either way it's fantastic! Please apply a thick top coat to seal in the glitter and allow for a smooth finish! Happy Polishing!!! :0)
BTW~~Matte glitter polishes are all the rage right now!!!!!!
You can purchase this from Lush Lacquer on Etsy. Here is Mr. Bubble listed for $8.75.   You can stay up to date with them on Facebook.  It is a Mother and Daughter team that creates this gorgeous polishes!  They updated the information today on Facebook that they will be discontinuing some colors.  I will list those at the bottom of this post.  They are making room for new colors (squeeeeeaaallll!), so be on the lookout for what's next!

See? Matte glitter definitely is hot! This to me is almost like a splattered canvas with colors bursting! I love the contrast with the black.

I hope you enjoyed another look at a Lush Lacquer!  I can't wait to try this over lots of different colors!  Such a fun combination of glitter!

Here are the Lush Lacquers being discontinued:

  • Glitterazi
  • Glam Girl

Zoya Kiki with Lush Lacquer Summer Lovin

Hello!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!!  Today I have one of my favorite pinks along with an awesome polish by Lush Lacquer.

First up is Zoya Kiki.  This pink doesn't get the love it should!  I think I bought this randomly from Zoya, but it is probably the most amazing pink in my collection!  And my brush is perfect, so application is amazing.  I cannot give this polish enough love!  I'm not sure why this isn't talked about more!

Speaking of love, I want to share this link with you, https://www.artofbeauty.com/rd/0132C9F2.  This is a Share the Love link that leads to Zoya Kiki.  This link is a way for me to earn points through them! So cool for me, but you guys can get something too! See what Zoya wrote: Remember EVERYONE WINS with "Share the Love": When someone clicks on your personal link and sets up an online account, a $5 coupon a coupon for a FREE Bottle of Zoya Nail Polish will automatically be placed in their account and can be used immediately on their current order. TIP: If you use this coupon and add 2 more polishes to your order, you get free shipping too! The coupon will appear in the "My Coupons/ Promos" section of their "My Account" Page.

Kiki is such a beautiful hot pink, but then there is also a purple/blue shift to it, which can be seen in the pictures.  There is also little glass flecks in this polish too, giving it that iridescent finish.  I'm sorry to not have any pictures in the sun, but it was overcast yesterday while I was taking photos.  This is 3 coats because I had a little tipwear.  I wore it on Saturday night with 2 coats with Wicked Fast Top coat, and it was great!  I did have slight tipwear, so I decided to do a third coat for photos!  I didn't use a top coat, since I knew I'd be adding Summer Lovin.

Next I applied Lush Lacquer Summer Lovin.  Here is their description of it:
Summer Lovin had me a blast...summer lovin happened so fast....boy I love that movie Grease! We made a polish that reminds us of summer. These swatch pictures don't do it justice...it looks so beautiful on! It is a neon glitter polish combo! It has a pink jelly base with a mixture of neon glitters...we packed this polish with neon pink, orange, yellow and blue matte glitters. We also added medium size pink matte glitters for contrast. We did not add the fine iridescent glitter for this one, but we can if you want it!. The colors in this polish look beautiful together and it is absolutely stunning on. It's very bright and pretty ...it definitely attracts attention! It looks great over other colors (see the swatches up above) or alone with 2 to 3 coats of polish. This polish has a smooth finish after applying 2 coats of a top coat or gelous. Please apply a thick top coat to seal in the glitter and allow for a smooth finish! Happy Polishing!!! :0)

You can purchase this from Lush Lacquer on Etsy.  Here is Summer Lovin listed for $8.75.  I did have to wait a little bit for shipping because of how many orders they had.  However, they update their Etsy page with information as to how long it will take to receive the orders, so that is very helpful!  I think it's definitely worth the wait though!  I just love how this polish looks!  And it's nice to be able to order whenever instead of only certain openings as some shops have to do.  I know there are a lot of different methods, but this seems to be working well for them!  And I don't mind waiting a little longer to make sure I can order what I would like all at the same time.

And here are a couple close up shots of each of the colors.

I hope you enjoyed!  I also am sporting Kiki on my toes!  I usually wear it for weeks on my toes!  Even though I change my nails everyday, my toes usually stay the same color.  I wore this for a while, then went to a red, but still found myself using this again on my toes! Can't get enough of it!

I hope you have a great day!

Much Love,
Crystal

Dandy Nails - Wonderwall

Hello!  Today I have just a quick post because I relaxed most of yesterday!  I was going to do a swatch-a-thon, but actually fell asleep!! Sorry! lol  This is a mani I did a few days ago.  I didn't take very good pictures of it, so for that I apologize!

Hopefully you can see the beauty that is Wonderwall!  This glitter is so sparkly!!!  I believe the white is a matte glitter, but the blue catches the light and gives a little flash.

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Zoya Mitzi, which you can see a swatch of on a previous post that I did.  Then I topped it off with 1 coat of Dandy Nails Wonderwall.  I then used 1 coat of Seche Vite.

You can purchase Dandy Nails on Etsy, http://www.etsy.com/shop/DandyNails.  Also, you can follow Facebook to get updates and information for store openings and new color information!

Here are some pictures that I took in my beauty room.  It always makes my skin look red though, sorry haha!

Hope you all have a great weekend! :-D

Much Love,
Crystal

Barry M - Dusky Mauve with Models Own - Disco Heaven

Hello Everyone!! I must give a couple birthday shout outs today!!  Well yesterday was my kitty, Bear's birthday!!! He turned 7!! And today is my baby, Coda's birthday!!  He is turning 3!!!  And also, a very happy birthday to my friend Keilah that I work with!  I am off today, so unfortunately I'm not spending it with her, but I am thinking of her and hoping she has a great day!!

Happy Birthday Bear!  7yrs
Happy Birthday Coda!! 3yrs

So first up I wore Barry M - Dusky Mauve yesterday (does anyone else want to call it Dusty?! LOL)!  I just LOVE it!! It is considered a dupe to Chanel Paradoxal, but since I don't have it for you to compare, this is a great comparison post by Lacquerized!

This is 2 coats of Dusky Mauve with Poshe top coat. I am thrilled to finally own a version of this!! And the Barry M formula is perfect!!  It is a gorgeous sort of plum/brown/dark taupe color with that amazing surprise of purple shimmer!  I absolutely love that hidden shimmer!!

You can purchase Barry M from Harlow and Co. for $7 and shipping is free anywhere for orders over $50!! I received this in a swap from my good friend, Saira!  You can check out her awesome blog, The Girl With the Green Nails.

After work yesterday, I was going to my friend Jessica's for a girls night, and decided to add some spice to this!  I picked Models Own Disco Heaven to layer over top.  I love the way it turned out!  Disco Heaven is a gorgeous square gold glitter with hexagons that reflect blue/purple and even in some lights as teal! So much fun!
Models Own can also be purchased from Harlow and Co. for $10 each.  I did receive this from Saira too!  I am so spoiled ;-)  Thank you again Saira!
Notice how the sun still brings out the purple shimmer through the glitter - gotta love that!  I used 1 coat of Disco Heaven with 1 coat of Seche Vite.  I'm honestly not even sure why I was grabbing different top coats, haha, I just use what's ever in front of me ;-)

And here are a couple zoomed in pics for you guys.  I know they aren't the best quality, but you get the idea!  It really shows off the little squares!! :-D

So I'm heading out to enjoy the day...LOVE having a day off!! (which is because my work offers a personal vacation day near your birthday...hehe).  So next week Friday is my actual birthday.  Should I do a fun birthday mani?  I will need to think of something then...

I hope you all have a great day!!  I'm hoping I do too :-D

Much Love,
Crystal

Dollish Polish - TEAM Salvatore

Hello Everyone!!!  Before I talk about today's blog post, I'd like to take a second to speak out on behalf of The Swatchaholic and Swatch and Learn.  Sinful Colors (with parent company, Revlon) released some pamphlets and display material using stolen pictures from their blogs.  You can read both of their specific posts to get more information, The Swatchaholic and Swatch and Learn.  If you then feel as I do, that this is wrong, please sign this petition that was started - Sign HERE.  I know this isn't my personal fight, but I can't help but feel the need to support these ladies.  If we don't have the support of each other, this community would not be what we have made it.  I personally feel that it is important to stand up for what is right.  I hope that the outcome of this satisfies both Jeanette and Mary, because they did not deserve this.

So now that I've gotten that off my chest, on to today's mani!  This is a fun one, which reminds me of how much I miss The Vampire Diaries!!!!  This polish by Dollish Polish was named Team Salvatore for the main characters Stefan and Damon, who are brothers.  I googled and saw that it will start it's 4th Season on October 11 - which sounds far away, but I'm sure it will be here before we know it!

I used a base of Zoya Harley, of 2 coats.  This is a shimmery silver with a mauve/purple undertone to it.  It showed up in my pictures as silver, but in real life next to Zoya Dove on my rack, it is easy to see the tint in color.

I then applied 1 coat of Team Salvatore along with 1 coat of Wicked Fast top coat by Cult Nails.  The glitter in this is just spectacular!  I don't know why I've never used this until now!  I love the microshimmer of silver glitter along with the small hexagons of silver and red.  Then you have larger hexagons of black with squares in black and red.  This was actually one of my first polishes from Dollish, so shame on me for having this in my untrieds pile for so long!

You can purchase this and others from Dolly's shop, http://dollishpolish.bigcartel.com/.  I'm not sure when this particular color will be restocked, but you can follow her Facebook page for announcements and details.

Hope you enjoyed this fun mani!!! It caught my eye more than once wearing it ;-)  And I do hope you'll each take the time to sign the petition.  The support we have for each other is important and I'm so glad to have met such inspiring ladies (and gents)!!  I'm sorry when things like this happen, but it also warms my heart to see the outpour of love and support for each other.

Have a wonderful day and make it count!

Much Love,
Crystal
