Mrs. P's Nail Potions!

Hello Everyone!!  Today is my 300th Post!  I dunno why I think that number is so cool, haha but it is :-)  Maybe because I love number 3? haha

Today I have two gorgeous polishes from Mrs. P's Nail Potions!  First up, we have Gold Digger, which is a color changing polish!!

This is 3 coats along with KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat.  It is a bit sheer, but I wonder if it will work to layer and still see any color changing!  hmmmm!

As the pictures go on, you'll see the rusted looking gold turn to a brighter gold...

This isn't just the lighting, as you can really notice when washing your hands!!  My tips stay darker though with the small free edge.

This is really gold!  I love how pretty the shimmer is in this.

Such a pretty color changing polish!  You can see the dark tips.  I love both colors together!

Next we have Pink/Blue Shifty.

This is 3 coats with KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat.

The shift in this is stunning!! I have a similar color, but it isn't near as beautiful as this with the blue shinning through the pink!

Pardon the label...I smudged it because I had acetone on my finger! :-( lol

Bed room lighting and blurred a little bit.  Isn't that shimmer gorgeous?  It glows!

Mrs. P's Nail Potions - I ♥ NY Collection

Hello Everyone!! I hope you all had a nice weekend!! I cannot tell you how great it felt to relax the past couple of days!!  The wedding was beautiful on Friday - so happy for Mike & Julie!!! Congrats!  Anyway, I caught up on some shows on the DVR and was able to spend some time with the hubby!  It was great :-)

Today I have the  I Red heart NY Collection by Mrs. P's Nail Potions!!  It's inspired by Sex and the City!   Each Potion is meant to represent each of the main characters of the TV series and movies (Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, Samantha, Mr. Big).  You can find these listed at Mrs. P's Nail Potions on Etsy. You can get all 5 for the price of 4 with code NYSET32 (this will only be accepted if you have one of each of the 5 polishes in your cart and only the I ♥ NY polishes. If you want to order other polishes outside the new collection please make a separate order). Also don't forget that every bottle of Mrs. P's Nail Potions that you purchase during the month of November gets you an entry into the giveaway for a free full-sized set of the I ♥ NY Collection from Bree (just pay shipping)!!  You can also stay up to date with Bree, the owner, on her Facebook Page, Twitter as @MrsPNailPotions, and Instagram as @Mrs__P (two underscores).

Along with the debut of this collection, Bree is debuting her new labels!  Also, each bottle also has a color coded rhinestone embellishment on top of the cap.  The gals in Sex and the City were always about the bling and sparkle and NYC has that special something as well so she wanted to do something a little special to the bottles for this collection.  I wanted to include Bree's descriptions for the ideas of these beauties!  I must warn you, this is a rather large post!!!!

The Naked Dress - This is inspired by Carrie Bradshaw and her famous "naked dress" from Season 1 on her first date with Mr. Big. It's a nude jelly with gold holo glitter in fine and medium hex. The gold glitter represents the "Carrie" necklace that she always wore and treasured throughout the entire series.

I used 3 coats with Diamont top coat by Nubar.  It applied very well for me, along with the glitter spreading out evenly.  And that nude base is so pretty!  I was nervous as to how it would look on me, but I do really like it!  The holo glitters are beautiful and as you can see in some pictures, they do sparkle!

Close up!

Searching for Mr. Right - This is inspired by Charlotte York and her forever search for the perfect husband. Charlotte was always a hopeless romantic and believer in true love. It's a white jelly with pink heart glitters and fine white iridescent and holo pink glitter. It's very pretty and romantic and girly, just like Charlotte.

I used 2 coats along with Nubar Diamont top coat.  The base is white and creamy, but it does have some transparency to it!  I thought it had great coverage with two coats (second coat was applied a little heavier).  The hearts were pretty easy to get out of the bottle and then I brushed them into place where I wanted them!

Close up!  This would also be so cute for Valentine's Day!

Can't Colour Enough - This is inspired by Samantha Jones and her colourful and out there personality and fashion. It's a neon pink jelly with a little bit of extra fine holographic glitter for that shimmer and sparkle to represent the life in the fast lane aspect of Samantha and then is loaded with many different glitters of different shapes and sizes kind of like a party confetti to represent all the high profile PR events and parties that Samantha attended and organized/hosted. And for those unfamiliar with Samantha's famous quote from the first movie, the girls were all sitting having coffee/breakfast and Charlotte had her daughter Lily with her and didn't want the girls using the word "sex" so they used "colour" instead so they could still talk about sex without Lily really knowing or understanding and Samantha said "I can't colour enough, I would colour all day every day If I had my way, I would use every crayon in my box".

I remember the part in the movie where this polish is inspired from!!! haha  I love this for Samantha!  And this applied beautifully in 2 coats and topped with Nubar Diamont.   In the pic below, you can see the bottle with the tiny holo glitters in it!

Close up!  It's so much fun with the mix of glitters and the pink is such a pretty shade!

So as I was swatching this, I thought of one of my favorite blue glitters, Pool Party by Pretty & Polished!  This is like the pink version of that!! I am in love with both of these!!!  I love this whole collection by Mrs. P's Nail Potions, but I think Can't Colour Enough is my fave! ;-)

Can't Colour Enough does have that subtle holo shimmer through it though, making it a bit extra special!  I might have to do a pink and blue mani soon!

All Lawyered Up - This is inspired by Miranda Hobbs. She has the simplest of style of all the girls and is the iconic redhead of the show. Most times you see her in her straight-laced suits as she is a lawyer so I thought I would keep this Potion very simple and straightforward and bring in the red/orange to represent her hair. It's a red jelly base with medium hex glitters in red and orange.

This applied well in 2 coats and topped with Nubar Diamont.  The jelly is pretty with these red and orange glitters, almost reminding me of a fire!  Which does remind me of Miranda because she seems to have a lot of power to her!

Close up!

The Big Apple - This is inspired by Carrie's two true loves, Mr. Big and New York City. It's a black jelly which represents the nice tailored black suits Mr. Big usually wears with fine silver sparkles to represent the spark between Carrie and Mr. Big and all the lights of NYC. There is also white diamond glitter which I thought picked up on the crisp white shirts Mr. Big always wore under his suits and red hex glitters to represent the love that Carrie feels for both Mr. Big and NYC. Red is also the colour of apples and NYC is the big apple after all!

This is such a fun polish!  I used 3 coats along with Nubar Diamond to top.   I might layer this over a black next time, but I do love the depth to this jelly!  I sometimes get tipwear with dark jellies, so I tried to wrap my tips to prevent that.

I love the tiny silver glitters and the way they sparkle through this!  And the red and white diamonds are just so interesting!  I don't think I've ever seen a polish like this - so I'm glad to have this beauty added to my collection!

Close up!!

Thank you for checking out this post of gorgeous potions by Mrs. P!!  I gave away the full size set that I used to model for the pictures (I received minis, but trust me, these are too pretty to only have minis!! ;-) hehe).  Congrats again to Olivia!! Your bottles are on the way!

I also must say, working with the mini bottles was just as easy as regular bottles.  I was really excited to see that the mini bottles had the rhinestones too!!  They are so cute!  I absolutely love Bree's new labels and am loving this whole collections!  What are your favorites!?

Hope you all have a great day!!

Much Love,
Crystal

Mrs. P's Nail Potions - It's My Party!

Happy Friday Everyone!!!  Anyone have any plans this weekend?  I heard Starbucks has a Buy One, Get One this weekend until Sunday on their Holiday creations!  I am going to stop by today after work for my first Peppermint Mocha of the season!!!

Today I have a gorgeous white with glitter polish from Mrs. P's Nail Potions!  This is called It's My Party.  It is a white crelly (cream and jelly) with tons of glitters in different shapes and sizes!  I see silver, white, gold, orange, red, green, blue, pink, purple, lime green, black, and maybe more that I'm missing!  There are squares, hexagons, and bar glitters.  There is definitely a party going on in that bottle! :-D haha

For this manicure, I used 3 coats of It's My Party and topped with Seche Vite.  This polish does show the layers nicely of the glitter below, but it is a bit thick, which is why I went with 3 thinner coats rather than 2 thick coats.  I absolutely love how this turned out!  My favorite part about white bases is that they somewhat mute the glitter, but show hints of it.  It is kind of a creamy version of a rainbow! hehe!

You can purchase this from Etsy at the shop Mrs. P's Nail Potions. You can also stay up to date with Bree, the owner, on her Facebook Page, Twitter as @MrsPNailPotions, and Instagram as @Mrs__P (two underscores).

I love the way the bottle looks in this picture!  You can really see some of the awesome glitters in this!  A surprise with every brush stroke!

And a close up!  Sorry it's a tad blurry!

Hope you enjoyed this look at Mrs. P's Nail Potions!!  Her new collection is also available at Mrs.

Have a great weekend!
