Jaded Nail Co. - Tear Dust

Hi Everyone!! I am so glad the week is going pretty quickly!! I skipped the gym Monday and Tuesday (and with the Holidays having the gym closed...), I am really needed to get back into my 3 days a week routine!! I am telling myself no excuses for Thursday's class!! You guys have weeks/days like that where you are just like, forget it, the gym will be waiting when I'm ready later?   I know, I'm just being lazy :-)  At least I'm feeling almost all the way better!!  Still a bit there, but no where near how I felt over the weekend - yay!

 

So today I have this gorgeous polish that I won!! YAY! Don't you love winning a free pretty polish!?!  I saw Gaby of @Lacquerloon on Instagram with this...and that lead me to Jade of @JadedNailCo on Instagram, who just so happened to be having a giveaway!! What luck!  And then I entered and won, and I couldn't believe it!! That pretty much never happens!!!  So needless to say, I was pretty excited to get this since it definitely caught my eye with Gaby's swatch.

 

This is Tear Dust by Jaded Nail Co.   With it's grey jelly quality, it took 3 coats for this look, but worth every brush stroke!  I topped with Wicked Fast top coat by Cult Nails.  It applied perfectly and the combo is just gorgeous!!  There are teal and white glitters along with a sprinkling of fairy dust.  Ok, doesn't that sound so cool?  It's really holographic glitters that sparkle so subtly (so subtle the light box refused to pick them up for you to see).  I consider Wicked Fast to be a thinner top coat, but it was still extremely smooth!  The grey jelly base events out the glitter, so it isn't rough at all!

And a close up...I didn't even realize how cool this looked until I zoomed in!  I am loving it even more!  Look at those little squares!  What a fun polish!  And not so crowded with glitter that the 3 coats look overkill.  I think it was very well done!

Naild'It - SSSNot What You Think and Dragon Scales

Hello Everyone!!  Thank you again for all your well wishes!  I am starting to feel like myself again!  :-)  Today I have two gorgeous polishes from Naild'It for you to see!

I started with 2 coats of OPI Gargantuan Green Grape and then 1 coat of SSSNot What You Think and topped with Seche Vite.

Even though the glitters are almost the same as the base, I love how they blend together!!  It looks like they were made for each other!  The little pops of red, green, and yellow add the extra pop to the greens!

I also love the bottle shots!  This is such a fun mix of glitters.

Next I have Dragon Scales to show you!

I started with 2 coats of Zoya Kelly and then added 1 coat of Dragon Scales.  I finished with Seche Vite top coat.



Dragon Scales has lots of colors, blue, purple, red, green, light yellow, white, and black glitters.  It is in a clear base.  I have seen this layered over lots of colors and it looks so cool!  I love the little glitters of red, white, and black that add to the other hexagons.

In my opinion, Zoya Kelly dries dark on the nail.  It is a nice dark shade, without being black.

I really enjoyed this combo!  I also can't wait to try Dragon Scales over other bases!  I'm thinking a neon green or maybe even a dark purple!

First of all, thank you so much Crystal for allowing me to do a guest post on your amazing blog! It's only appropriate that I present a fun combo for my mani today. I started with my typical bases coat(s); Essie 'Grow Stronger' and OPI 'Nail Envy'. I always use two because I feel that it protects my nails from too much staining and I struggle with keeping my nails strong and this combination seems to help! On my ring finger I used 2 coats of Essie 'Leading Lady' which I'd describe as a rich nearly maroon red jelly polish with silver glitter that appears to possess different shades of red with multiple coats. On all other fingers I used 2 coats of Catherine Arley '676' which is a silver scattered holographic nail polish. And of course I couldn't just leave this mani alone! I added 1 coat of Lynnderella 'The Stars in Her Eyes...' which has silver holographic hexagon and star glitter in it as well as a mix of aurora-borealis glitter. Ok enough of the details here's the final result:
