Nerd Lacquer Shiny

Today I have for you Shiny by Nerd Lacquer.  I purchased this from Ninja Polish, which you can find HERE.  Unfortunately, it is out of stock, but you can sign up to recieve an e-mail notification for when it is back in stock.  The Nerd Lacquer's are sold for $10 each.

This color really surprised me!  I supposed I didn't expect it to be so reflective from the pictures I've seen.  But when I got it in person, it all made sense to why it was named the way it was!  It is absolutely stunning!  I love the blue base that has a hint of purple shimmer.  The silver, reflective glitter is in squares, and medium and small hexagons.  The base is jelly like, so you can see the glitter pieces below in previous coats.  I did 3 coats for the pictures and loved how it turned out.

I have to say, this is probably one of my favorite polishes.  I applied SO well and the look was just beautiful.  I also liked it against my skintone - just a perfect shade of blue!  The base kept the glitters from being raised, so I only used 1 coat of Wicked Fast by Cult Nails.

Pretty and Polished Bayou Blitz

I came home to the most wonderful nail mail today.  Mr. CC texted me while I was at work with a picture of 3 packages waiting for me.  (He also included some teasing too, lol.)  Needless to say, I was bouncing around with excitement for the rest of the day and speechless when I got to unwrap them all (pictures at the end of the post). 

I picked Bayou Blitz to quickly swatch since I know it is a brand new shade from Pretty & Polished!  I love it!  I used 3 coats because it is a teal jelly and I was going for opaque.  The neon yellow glitter sprinkles throughout the polish along with transparent hexagons of purple, pink, orange, yellow and green - all neon.  I did dab around a bit to get the hexes in place, but not a big deal considering how amazing it looks!  I finished the look with 1 coat of Poshe.

I am completely addicted to these Mint Oreos.  I was trying to find the Birthday Cake ones and they must have been sold out!  I found these instead and they are SO much better than Birthday Cake ones!!  Plus they kinda matched the nails, lol!  Someone stop me...I want another one.

NAIL MAIL!!  Do you guys remember Blue's Clues?  Oh my goodness, my brothers and sister watched it all-the-time and all I can say is - "Here's the mail, it never fails, it makes me want to wag my tail, when it comes I want to wail, MAIL!!!!"  Sorry, if you have no clue what I'm referring to, you can Google it and I'm sure something will come up.  If you do know, I bet you sang it just like Steve did! hahahaha

Alright, can you tell it's late and I'm loopy?  A long week will do that to a girl!  Anyway, I recieved my Lynnderella polishes on Thursday!  I love them!!  I have the rest of the Lovely Is As Lovely Does collection on back order.  I am excited to start layering these bad boys!

 

 

And today was Pretty & Polished, Nerd Lacquer, and Elixir Lacquers!  What a HAUL!   I don't even know what to do with myself!  I want to just start painting everyone's nails...and I mean everyone..."here kitty, kitty...."

 

So next week looks like it's going to be another franken week....I really hope that's ok with you all!  I mean, they're too gorgeous not to share!  I will try to throw a combo in there too.  I feel bad that I haven't been playing around with colors that much!  And I feel like I'm obsessed with glitter lately haha My nails hate me for that.

Claire's Candy Shop

Hello!!!  Today is Friday!!  You know that song, everyone is working for the weekend?  I never understood it while I was younger...not working - LOL!  I totally get it now.  Anyway, today I have a lovely polish that is said to be a dupe to the Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop.  Personally, I think Claire's could have been a little less obvious of the dupe, but I suppose the fact that their names are the same is kind of funny.  Oh well, it works for me!  Now I don't have DL Candy Shop to compare this, but from the pictures I've seen, there are some slight differences in color, but not enough for me to care.  The jelly on DL is a lighter pink and there may be more lighter blue glitter in than this one.   Otherwise, it's the same idea and it's beautiful.

This polish is extra special too, because the lovely Marisa, at Polish Obsession, found it for me!!  I was SO excited!!! She's a sweetheart.  :-)

I love that this looks like a pink version of a funfetti cupcake.  Those are are my favorite...uh oh, now I'm hungry!!! hehe There are medium and small hexagons of all different colors through the pink jelly.  The pictures are 2 coats with Wicked Fast top coat by Cult Nails.

I have to say, I have been getting so many compliments lately.  It has meant SO very much to me that people can appreciate me and my swatches.  I know it's just nail polish, but to me, a lot of why I love this is the community we've built around it.  I'm so glad we can be there to support each other and I truly appreciate all your kindness and love to me!  It certainly makes my day brighter!!  And I actually take time to care for my nails and to paint them nicely.  When I first started, I don't think I was nearly as patient as I am now.  Plus, it doesn't take very long for me to throw on a color if I'm in a hurry.  I'm glad to improve and continue moving foward.  And the best part is having you guys with me along the way!  Ok, I'm done being sappy for the day, lol.  Have a great weekend!!!!
