Rainbow Honey - A Little Kindness

Hello Everyone!! TGIF!!  Last night I was so tired, I ended up falling asleep at 7pm! LoL!!  We had some HOT temps though, which I was only outside for a bit compared to my poor Mr. CC!!  He had to work outside all day!  Eek!  Then all of a sudden, a storm rolled in bringing along hail!  Luckily they weren't too big of pieces falling, but it went on for 10-15 minutes!  Crazy weather!

Today is a gorgeous color by Rainbow Honey, called A Little Kindness.  I am convinced that this color will look great over anything!  It contains rose and gold medium hexagons, smaller gold and white hexagons, and even smaller light green and white hexagons.  The base is a cream color with a pink shift shimmer.  It just feels so elegant to me!

So I wanted to show you the few colors I tried it with!!  The first few pictures are over OPI Don't Touch My Tutu, which I bought for $8.50 at my local Ulta Beauty.  I did 2 coats, then 1 coat of ALK, then another coat of DTMT, then another coat of ALK, with Cult Nails Wicked Fast Top Coat.  I did all that because I didn't want the glitter to be too much, but also wanted an accurate color of it!

The awesome news is that Rainbow Honey will be opening her website for the first time tomorrow (early Saturday) - http://rainbowhoney.com/!! She has a countdown going (which makes it SO convenient instead of trying to figure out time zones - genius! lol).  I absolutely love her creations, but she goes beyond that to fantastic labels and packaging for her products!  This came in the cutest little box, that just made it even better (sorry, I forgot pics but will include with my next Rainbow Honey review!!).  Dee, the owner, just posted pictures of the new boxes on her Facebook - HERE.  She also updates her Facebook page a lot, so make sure to follow her there!

Next, I tried A Little Kindness over Sinful Black on Black (1 coat).  I love how this brings the pink shimmer out!

I then pulled a random color to see how it would look, thinking it might be too different, but this ended up being my favorite look!  I used 2 coats of Zoya Phoebe (which is a gorgeous matte) as my base with 1 coat of ALK.

You can find Phoebe here - https://www.artofbeauty.com/rd/0125C26B - This is a Share the Love link, which is a way for me to earn points through them! So cool for me, but you guys can get something too! See what Zoya wrote: Remember EVERYONE WINS with "Share the Love": When someone clicks on your personal link and sets up an online account, a $5 coupon a coupon for a FREE Bottle of Zoya Nail Polish will automatically be placed in their account and can be used immediately on their current order. TIP: If you use this coupon and add 2 more polishes to your order, you get free shipping too! The coupon will appear in the "My Coupons/ Promos" section of their "My Account" Page.
Pretty great deal! And actually I got a bottle of their Qtica Growth Stimulator https://www.artofbeauty.com/rd/0125C2D0 (another link!) for the price of shipping (a $20 value!) through all their gifts of Share the Love points - didn't even do anything!

And a friend of mine said that this was awesome over pink, so I had to try it and - WOW!  I used Cult Nails Bad Devious Nature with 2 coats and then 1 coat of ALK.  You can purchase Cult Nails on the website http://shop.cultnails.com/.  This is probably one of my favorite pinks, because the application is always flawless and the color is perfect!

I was taking pictures outside and loved the reflection on Mr. CC's truck window!! lol!

Well I hope you love this color as much as I do!  I have seen swatches of it over a ton of different colors and it looks fantastic with every one!  Don't forget to check out the shop opening on her website - http://www.rainbowhoney.com

Have a wonderful weekend!!!!  Anyone doing anything exciting?

Much Love,
Crystal

Girly Bits - Hippity Hop

Hiya!!! Ok, so I know this is kind of an Easter polish, but is wayyyy too gorgeous not to use year round!  Hippity Hop is by Girly Bits and she has some awesome creations!!  I love this glitter with a microshimmer!  There are so many colors together and they just glow!

I used Zoya Zuza as my base with 2 coats.  I forgot to take pictures, but you can see a previous post of Zuza using 1 coat HERE.  I then applied 1 coat of Hippity Hop and 1 coat of Seche Vite.  Hippity Hop applied pretty well, picking up glitter pieces on the brush.

You can purchase Girly Bits on Pam's website, http://girlybits.bigcartel.com/.  You can also find them from http://www.shop.llarowe.com/ and http://www.harlowandco.org/.  Prices range from $10 - $13 per bottle, depending on the types (the shift polishes are more expensive due to pigment prices).

I love the frost of Zuza with this gorgeous Girly Bits!  I think the two are great together for summer!! It feels beachy, yet glitzy!! ;-)

I hope you all have a great day!!

Much Love,
Crystal

A Dollish Polish Custom!

Hello Everyone!! Today I have a super duper special polish to show you!!! It is a custom order that I made through Dolly of Dollish Polish!  I absolutely love her creations and this may just be my new favorite!  I'm so glad she could make this!  Hussy is a nickname and potion for the concoction created! Is it wrong to want to wear this forever?  I mean, that would leave about 600 polishes sitting, which wouldn't be fair haha. But I just love this!!

I used two coats with a top coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast.  It applied like a dream, as all Dollish Polishes do for me!  I can't say enough good things about this - I LOVE IT!  The pictures hopefully speak for themselves!

Dolly will be opening her shop on Friday, June 29 (which is my Mommy's birthday!!!) and you can find that http://dollishpolish.bigcartel.com/.  She will be selling the following shades:
  • URBAN CAMO
  • AURORA BOREALIS
  • PUTTING ON THE RITZ
  • RANDOM DANCING
  • SPANK YOU VERY MUCH
Another great way to say up to date on Dollish Polish is to follow her Facebook! You can find it HERE

I hope you enjoyed this look at my custom and can appreciate the talented Dolly of Dollish Polish!  I have many of her polishes and they are all fantastic!  You cannot go wrong with adding some to your collection!!

I hope you all have a great day!  I'm going out for martini's tonight with my cousin!  It will be so great to catch up!  And martini's always make the week a little better ;-)

Much Love,

KBShimmer - Band Geek and Cheerleader

Hello Everyone!!  Today I have two gorgeous colors from the Clique Collection of KBShimmer!  I ordered from Harlow & Co. and received this very quickly!!  These are listed as $9 each.  A few are still in stock!  Purchases over $50 are free shipping to anywhere!
You can also order through KBShimmer direct on her website.  Polishes are listed as $8.50.  Also, Christy, the owner, has an Etsy site, http://www.etsy.com/shop/KBShimmer.  She sells more than just polish!  She makes lotions, soaps, scrubs, bath bombs and lip balms! On her website, she does have a note for orders:
Please note, depending on the amount of orders, shipping for nail polish may take 7-10 Business days. I will be on vacation from 06/18-07/01 and will not be shipping orders during that time. Please do not count those dates in your estimated shipping timeframe. I do have a good stock of polish made, but if sales exceed my projections, I will have to make stock. I will contact you if for some reason I can not fill part of your order or expect a longer shipping delay. I will process in the order received, and will not be combining orders. I will refund shipping overages for PayPal orders per my policies; credit card orders will have shipping adjusted when cards are processed. I have added a flat rate shipping option, I can fit up to 12 polishes via this method.
Band Geek has blown my mind!  I think it is bling-tastic, yet I can totally picture this for one of the weddings I have this year with a simple black dress and bronze, silver, and gold jewelry matching the glitters!  Can you see it?!  It will catch your eye, but still looks very elegant to me!
I just love Christy's description!!!
In high school, kids tend to divide into like minded groups. This polish is part of the collection based on high school cliques. I admit it, I was a band geek. I played the flute, all jokes aside, band was a great time. This polish is an ode to the band geeks of the world. Black jelly base to represent the oboe and clarinet, several sizes of silver, copper, and gold to capture the flutes, horns, drums, and the rest of the band.
I used 2 coats with 1 coat of Seche Vite.  In some pictures, the black jelly base does look transparent because of the lighting.  However, in person, it was not noticeable an did look opaque on the nail - only allowing the glitters to peek through!

Next we have a completely different color!  LOL  I just like the idea of a preppy cheerleader dating a band geek :-)  It doesn't always have to be about the jocks! hehe
Here is Christy's description:
In high school, kids tend to divide into like minded groups. This polish is part of the collection based on high school cliques. In a lot of teen movies, the popular girls tend to be cheerleaders. All pink and peppy, this polish is our shout out to those that live for team spirit. A pink jelly that has a hint of purple, this polish is loaded with white, purple, and blue matte glitters, for a unique polish full of depth.
I love jellies!  Now of course, they are hard to capture!  I used 2 coats and 1 coat of Seche Vite for the pictures.  Similar to Band Geek's black jelly, the pink jelly is actually opaque even though the photos give it a hint of transparency!  This is actually a very bright color too!  I tried my best to capture it!  It does lean a tad purple in some lighting.  It is definitely HOT though!  I just love the matte glitters in it too!  They are white, purple, pink, and blue!

I hope you enjoyed my photos of Band Geek and Cheerleader!  Both are unique in my collection and gorgeous!  I can't wait to try layering them too! That always gives polish another look, especially when they are jellies!! :-D

Have a great day!

Much Love,
Crystal

Harlow & Co. - For Madii

Hello Everyone!!! I have you all had a wonderful weekend!  I didn't make it to the beach, but instead had a pool day at our friend's house!  It wasn't as hot as it's been, but I got a few laps in anyway!  I've always loved water, my Mom used to say I would spend an hour or two in the bath tub, refusing to come out!  I am pretty much still the same :-) haha
Today I have a polish by Harlow & Co.  Katie is the owner and has created some beautiful shades!  You can check them out on her website, http://www.harlowandco.org/collections/harlow-co.  She sells her line for $10 for full size, and $4.50 for minis.  She also sells a lot of other lines that are fantastic!! The best part about her shipping is that...
Shipping is FREE for orders over $50 – EVERYWHERE- and if you don’t need that many polishes, shipping is a flat rate of $8.50 for Canada and the US. For everywhere else it’s $12.00. We’re trying to be fair all around because we want you to like us.
I know I can easily find $50 worth of polishes at her site! lol  Such a great deal!! And my order came extremely fast too!  I love buying from Harlow & Co.!!

For Madii is a gorgeous purple with pinkish/red and blue shimmers! I applied 3 coats for the pictures.  Also, I included a zoomed in picture, which is a tad blurred to show the shimmers!

The lighting really changes the way this colors looks!!  I really tried to get accurate pictures of this color, but my camera kept giving it a blue tint!  This polish is purple though, so please ignore the bluish color that it leans towards!

I hope you enjoyed this look at a Harlow & Co. creation!  Again, you can purchase this and many others at http://www.harlowandco.org/.

I hope you have a great day, and week!!

Much Love,
Crystal

Zoya Lolly and Pretty & Polished Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang

Hello Ladies!!!  Happy Friday and Yay for weekend fun!!!  I am hoping to get to the beach, but we'll see!  It sure has been hot enough!

Today I have the lovely Pretty & Polished to show you!  I tried it a while ago, back when I received it.  It was quite sheer from what I remember so I decided to layer it for you guys!  I went for my bold pink matte, Zoya Lolly!  This is 1 coat, since I knew I'd be layering over it.

You can find Lolly here - https://www.artofbeauty.com/rd/0122D3D8 - This is a Share the Love link, which is a way for me to earn points through them! So cool for me, but you guys can get something too! See what Zoya wrote:
Remember EVERYONE WINS with "Share the Love": When someone clicks on your personal link and sets up an online account, a $5 coupon a coupon for a FREE Bottle of Zoya Nail Polish will automatically be placed in their account and can be used immediately on their current order. Pretty great deal! And actually I got a bottle of their Qtica Growth Stimulator https://www.artofbeauty.com/rd/0111DC19 (another link!) for the price of shipping (a $20 value!) through all their gifts of Share the Love points - didn't even do anything! And I do love Zoya, so if you want me to swatch something for you, please let me know which color you're trying to find and I will check if I have it :-D

I then applied 2 coats of Chelsea Chelsea Bling Bling by Pretty & Polished with 1 coat of Wicked Fast.  Chelsea is the owner of Pretty & Polished, so I loved the play on Chelsea Handler's book, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang!  You can see Chelsea's post of this HERE, on her blog.

Chelsea sells on Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/PrettyandPolished.   She opened her shop last night, but will hopefully again soon.  She has some great new colors available!!

Chelsea Chelsea Bling Bling has a gorgeous shimmer through it!  I didn't really notice in the bottle that it had a gold look to it, but over Lolly, it really comes alive!  I just love this look!  I don't wear pink a lot, even though it is one of my favorite colors! I wear tons of pink clothes though! lol  It's weird, I know.  So when I finally do pull out the pinks, I'm like "why don't I wear this more!?!"  I suppose I will need to revisit some of my oldie but goodie favorites hehe ;-)

I hope you all have a great weekend!  Anyone have any exciting plans?  It's hard for me to think that June is almost over!  This summer is already flying! ;-)

Much Love,
Crystal
